DMCA policy

Streaming Verticals respects copyright and responds to notices of alleged infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

Two kinds of content on this site

Every title on Streaming Verticals is an official embed: the video is hosted on YouTube and plays in YouTube's own player. Removing a title here takes it off Streaming Verticals, but the video stays on YouTube. To remove it everywhere, also file a notice with YouTube (YouTube copyright complaints).

Filing a takedown notice

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for them.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  3. The page(s) on Streaming Verticals with the infringing material, with enough detail for us to find it (the page URL is best).
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Use the form below, or email or mail the notice to our designated agent. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under § 512(f).

What happens next

  1. You get an automatic confirmation with a reference number.
  2. Our agent reviews the notice, normally within 2 business days.
  3. If it's complete and valid, we remove or disable access to the material promptly and notify the uploader (for creator uploads).
  4. Incomplete notices are answered with what's missing.

Counter-notices

If your upload was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice under § 512(g)(3) with: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, phone number and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any district where Streaming Verticals may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who filed the notice. We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant and restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they've filed a court action.

Repeat-infringer policy

Each upheld takedown against a creator upload counts as one strike on the uploader's account. An account that receives 3 strikes within 12 months is suspended: all of its published films are taken down and it can't submit new ones. We may suspend an account sooner for clear or willful infringement. Strikes cleared by a successful counter-notice are removed. Suspended creators can contact the agent to appeal.
